Recently i had BA. After 2 kids, i wasn't happy with the size. Preop I had a B75 size bra, with an assymmetry (left larger than right, photos are mirrored, left in photo is left). I have anatomical prostheses: left Mentor CPG 321 315cc, right Mentor CPG 323 440cc. I've worn a supportive bra and band during 6w as instructed, 6w post op, and also now 9w, i'm not happy. I like the left one, nice size, shape and slight curve on the bottom. Right the inframammary fold seems too low. Normal? Problems?
Answer: Unhappy with Breast Augmentation Results Thank you for submitting this question. First, I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your results. You are still considered in the early phase of your recovery process to intervene surgically. Thus far, your results are great. Please allow at least 6 months for final results and you will find your breast implants settle. Additionally, it is slightly difficult to make a conclusion of the asymmetry due to the way the photograph was taken pre-operatively. One arm is raised in taking the photograph, the other hand is lifting your shirt. Both of which distorts the breast disposition. I hope this helps.

Answer: Not happy after 9 weeks? Hello SFJ and thanks for sharing. I'm sorry to hear about your experience and that you're not happy. I can see there's a difference in your photos between the breasts, but it's too early to intervene at 9 weeks. The fact is that you had asymmetry before means you most likely you will continue to have asymmetry after you're all healed up. On the other hand, you seem to be progressing nicely at 9 weeks. Your ultimate result will not be until 1 year after surgery and that's when you should consider revision if at all. I have seen this situation many times which occurs when one breast is much smaller than the other. The skin and tissue of the small (right) is tighter too, and therefore, got a much bigger implant, but it is your tissues that are limited in how fast they can stretch to accommodate your implant. Please be patient and visit your surgeon often. I don't see that anything went wrong here and you need more time to heal. Best wishes always, Dr. ALDO

Answer: Not happy with breast augmentation result, did something go wrong? You are still early in recovery and I expect the implants to soften and look more natural over the next two months. I do see the asymmetry. Ask your surgeon if an underwire bra might help the lower breast. Any revision should be done after six months if one is necessary.

Answer: Early asymmetry may settle out and improve as time passes sfj,It is particularly difficult to assess issues of symmetry, either before or after surgery, and particularly in comparison unless standardized and unclothed frontal and side views are used. This means photos taken by someone else, with your arms at the sides, eliminating distortion due to arm position and camera position, particularly if you take the photo yourself into a mirror. That said, you are still early in your post-op course, and the breast on the left in the photos (your left if that is a bounced reversed photo) may still settle more and round out at the bottom to match the right breast. Revision is sometimes needed, but start with good photos to assess actual symmetry. I hope that this helps.
