I have a mild case of oral thrush and have surgery scheduled in 1.5 weeks. Will it cause problems? (Photo)

Thank you for your question.  You should go back to your treating physician.  This should have cleared up after 2 months.  You should also discuss it with your Plastic Surgeon but I would tell my patient to reschedule surgery after it is cleared up.

This condition is easily treated. Report this to your plastic surgeon. By a week and a half it should be completely resolved.

I'm sorry to hear about the problem you are experiencing. Given that it has not cleared up in the past two months, I would suggest that you seek additional consultation and/or therapy.  If I were you, I would not proceed with elective surgery until these types of issues fully results. Best wishes.

Please contact your plastic surgeon. This should be resolved before surgery as my guess is that anesthesia may be reluctant to anesthetize you for fear of spreading the thrush into the bronchi and lung.
