I am so sorry to hear this happened. The clinic where you were treated absolutely needs to bring you in and evaluate you in person. When you are there, I would recommend that you get copies of your treatment record so you have the exact laser used and settings to take with you for a second opinion with a very experienced laser physician. In the meantime, keep it clean and moist (petroleum jelly) and cool compresses. Sleeping elevated will also help get the swelling down faster.
I'm sorry to hear about your laser injury. You need to see a dermatologist or plastic surgeon with expertise in wound care as soon as possible. You might need an oral antibiotic to treat or prevent infection. In general, for patients with skin injuries, we favor frequent and liberal use of occlusive ointment such as Aquaphor Healing Ointment or Cerave ointment (the blue jar).
