Could I have capsular contracture as 1 breast still feels firmer?

Question

I got implants done end july 2021. Oneof my breasts still feels firmer than the other one. Do I have capsular contracture? It's not painful. Its my dominant sided breast that is tigher. They sit at same level. I got 400cc implants. What can I do? Thanks for any help at all.

Hello @Trustworthy542683 thank you for your question. In a surgery there are predetermined times. We speak that the inflammatory process can reach almost 3 months and in those three months it is very normal to feel discomfort, burning sensation, burning with some movements, some kind of feeling of limitation but the healing process is maintained until the year. Some left to right differences after surgery are common, including dominant side muscle tightness/firmness for months.

Mild capsule may be present, without any noticeable issues. If so, can be usually be observed.

Massaging may help, follow up with your plastic surgeon for evaluation and any instructions.

You need to be examined to see if you have a capsule or if you implant failed to completely settle down after surgery. If it is a capsule, external ultrasound treatments might be helpful.
