This response was dictated. My apologize in advance for grammatical errors.I’m sorry you find yourself in this situation.Delivering consistent quality. Liposuction results is more difficult than most people realize. The number of plastic surgeons truly mastered this procedure is quite small.I’m not a big fan of high definition. Liposuction. It tends to be very permanent and often does not look very natural and set people up for problems in the future. Correcting poorly done, Liposuction is many times more difficult than doing primary Liposuction. In other words, if somebody cannot do basic liposuction, then they are probably not the correct provider to be doing revision work.Revision Liposuction can easily make things worse.Correcting poor Liposuction outcomes is generally done by doing further liposuction, a.k.a. revision liposuction, fat transfer(a different procedure) or sometimes converting the procedure to a skin tightening operation like a tummy tuck. The ability to improve. The outcome typically depends on two variables. The first variable is the patients candidacy for the procedure in the first place and the second variable is how much fat is left to work with. The most difficult cases are patients who were never good candidates for Liposuction, and the first place who’ve had all of their fact removed. The best candidates for Liposuction are generally young individuals who have tight skin, modest, excess, subcutaneous, fat without pregnancy related changes(skin laxity, and potential muscle separation). To find the right provider for Liposuction, I recommend patients scheduled multiple in person, consultations with plastic surgeons in their community who seem to have a lot of experience doing Liposuction.Generally the most talented providers often have few claims about being talented, have minimal advertising budgets, don’t engage in Practice promotion and our instead busy taking care of patients. If anything, there’s probably an inverse correlation between being famous and being talented.Unfortunately, a lot of patients seem to seek out providers who are very good at self promotion, but unfortunately self promotion does not correspond to being talented in the operating room, and making assessments or delivering consistent quality outcomes.I generally always recommend patients have multiple in person, consultations with several providers before selecting a surgeon.During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before, and after pictures of previous patients who had similar body characteristics to your own.An experienced plastic surgeon should have no difficulty showing you the before and after pictures of at least 50 previous Patients.Highly experienced surgeons will in fact have access to 100s or preferably thousands of before, and after pictures to choose from.Being shown a handful of pre-selected images, representing only the best results of a providers career may be insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like in the hands of each provider, What your results are likely to look like, or how many of these procedures they have actually done, regardless of what they claim. Be reluctant of providers, Hook claim that some technology or namebrand of the Weiss has anything to do with quality outcomes.I’m generally not a big fan of VASER.There’s nothing inherently wrong with this device. It can remove more fat in less time.Sometimes that is a desirable attribute. Sometimes it makes disfigurement worse. There’s no correct number of consultations needed to find the right provider. The more consultations you schedule the more likely you are to find a better provider for your needs.Suggest patience, bring pictures of their body to consultations to use as reference especially when reviewing before, and after pictures.Considering how much variation there is Liposuction skill and how few plastic surgeons have truly mastered this procedure I recommend patients have at least five or six consultations Before considering scheduling a permanent irreversible body contouring procedure that can potentially leave people disfigured. The best providers for doing revision work are generally the same providers who do the best primary procedures. The only exception to this is if the patient needs fat transfer, in which case you need to vent providers for both Liposuction and fat transfer skill.Fat transfer becomes very difficult to do when too much fat has been removed from over Zellas Liposuction. in order for grafted fat to survive there needs to be a sufficient amount of “host tissue” to support the grafted fat. if almost all the subcutaneous fat has been removed, then grafting fat typically leads to a high percentage of graft failure, and it may require multiple sessions to build up a subcutaneous fat layer to a desirable degree. There are no easy ways to improve your outcome. There are no non-surgical treatments that will have any significant impact. In many ways year outcome represents why I continue to post warnings about provider selection when it comes to Liposuction on a daily basis on this platform. You had highly aggressive energy based Liposuction leaving you with an uneven, fat, distribution and very little subcutaneous fat left to work with. Any attempt at improving the outcome can easily make it worse and the process of improving poorly done nipple section can be expensive, extremely frustrating.Trying to negotiate to get some of your money back. It’s probably at least a good start. You should definitely let your provider know that you’re unhappy with the outcome.Hopefully you can encourage that surgeon to either stop doing liposuction, change their technique. I doubt you’re the first patient to be disfigured in the hands of this provider. You may want to consider writing some honest professional reviews about your experience.I’m sure you would’ve appreciated other patients who have gone through a similar situation to have warned you about potential and desirable outcomes in the hands of this surgeon. My best recommendation is to take your time and begin the tedious process of selecting the best providers in your community.Do not jump to having revision surgery as soon as possible.Consider spending the next 6 to 12 months interviewing plastic surgeons.Regardless of what option you choose if you have the motivation and financial means to attempt to restore your abdomen. It’s going to most likely require having multiple procedures.I wish I could be more optimistic in my response. It is my goal as I come towards finishing my career to protect people from being disfigured from cosmetic surgery especially from Liposuction. For the last 15 years I’ve specialized exclusively in doing liposuction and Fed transfer procedures. The procedure is poorly understood by both providers and patients.Unfortunately, Liposuction leaves more people disfigured than any other plastic surgery operation. All of this is avoidable by going through a proper vetting process when selecting providers.I’m sorry you find yourself in this situation.Best,Mats Hagstrom, MD
