Uneven swelling 6 months after rhinoplasty. Is this close to the final result? (Photo)

Hello! Thank you for your question.From the photos you provided I can say that you have thick skin and the healing process will be much longer than thin skins. The swelling can be uneven. For the final result you need to be patience. It can be up to 1,5 year due to your skin type. If you talk with your surgeon you might get your answers more secure because s/he knows your skin closely. Best Regards!

That said, you appear to have an indentation along the right side wall of your nose. The upper 1/3 of your nose should not have as much swelling as the lower 1/3 of your nose. Prince of your nose is bothering you after your operation, please consider consulting with several reputable rhinoplasty specialists who offer computer Imaging. 6 months is close to the final result of rhinoplasty, even though all swelling will not be gone until after one year. The asymmetries that you are noting can likely be fixed by cartilage grafting, which could also be fixed via a closed approach depending on the comfort level of your surgeon. This would avoid an incision on the outside of the nose if this is a concern of yours.

It is not unusual to have prolonged swelling after two consecutive "traumas". Nose taping with tapes and placement of internal splints, soft silicone breathing tubes, available on Amazon, for at leasty next 4-6 months may help. It is best to consult your surgeon in that regard. Good luck.
