Uneven breast 1 year post augmentation, unsure if I'm bottoming out or have capsular contracture (Photo)

Question

Hi everyone, I got a breast augmentation in November 2021. I had some issues with one of the implants as one of the wounds started opening. I had a revision surgery for that side in January 2022. I am now a bit over 1 year post surgery, but my breast still look uneven. I am not sure if one of the implants is bottoming out or if I have an early capsular contracture on the other implant. The breast that appears firmer is the one I had issues with, and I also feel like the capsule was not released.

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

Thanks for your inquiry and picture, but it is hard to advise without an exam.  To me the higher firm breast more likely has encapsulation which can occur after infection.  Please see your surgeon to discuss and best of luck.
