Swollen jaw lymph nodes 7 months after fillers. What should I do?

Hi, I got 2ml hylauranic filler in my jawline in February to help with my side profile. Had really bad swelling on right side but it went down after two weeks after expected. However, since getting the fillers, the right side of my face which I suspect has the most filler swells every month before my period. It’s very uncomfortable and at times a little painful. It feels like a 2-3 cm ball in my jaw and is movable. Usually goes away in 2 days. Is this normal? What should I do?

The swelling that you are experiencing is not normal.  You should revisit your injecting physician for evaluation, preferably when it is swollen.  Good luck and be well.

Good afternoon. This is certainly an undesirable side effect. My recommendation is to apply warm compresses and administer lymphatic massage to the area, when it swells. Ultimately, you may need to have the filler in that area dissolved, if this does not resolve on its own. I wish you all the best with this.

I encourage you to return to your injector for an evaluation. Swelling can occur after fillers, but typically resolves after a couple of weeks.  If needed the remaining filler could be dissolved with hyaluronidase.
