Would I be considered too "overweight" for dermal fillers/botox? (photo)

Question

I am 40 years old, and I am overweight by 100 pounds at least. I would like to get fillers and botox to help with the signs of aging now but I worry that I am too big for fillers in my cheeks or jaw line to look more contoured and sculpted. Is it worth it with my size face and my double chin?

Hello and thanks for your question! I think the best course of treatment to help with your areas of concern would not be adequately addressed with fillers. A facelift, necklift, and submental liposuction vs deep necklift would be the best options for improving the jawline (removing the jowls) and neckline (removing the double chin). Hi there, yes absolutely, botox can be given safely to help with wrinkles. Fillers can be given to provide more volume in certain parts of the face. Weight does not impact whether you are a candidate for fillers and Botox.  From. your photo is appears you would enjoy the benefits these products have to offer.  Botox can help to address forehead lines, give a conservative brow lift, and soften crow's feet lines.  Fillers can add volume to help enhance your facial contours. Good Evening! Not at all! Botox and fillers can be great options for all ages and weights. Fillers improve volume and can help with defining the jawline. Cheek filler can lift the jawline skin and create better proportions in the face. After reviewing your photos and reading your post I think you would be a good candidate for botox and filler. There are no weight restrictions when it comes to such treatments. I think botox would be great for you and filler, placed in the correct locations would really help to rejuvenate your face. The exact locations for your fillers would be better discussed during an in person consultation but based on your photos you could definitely do some filler in the cheeks, nasolabial folds and by the corners of the mouth. I am not aware of weight or BMI limits for neurotoxins such as Botox or Dermal Fillers. I don't believe they are the route to go for a more sculpted chin or jaw though. I would recommend Kybella, Coolsculpting, or liposuction with some skin tightening such as RF Microneedling to help with the laxity of the skin. From there you can use dermal fillers to touch up the specific areas that aren't to your satisfaction. Doing the filler before those procedures though will not yield much in terms of jaw line sculpting.
