Based on your photos, you do not appear to have an excessively wide or flaring nasal base. Most of the width appears to be in your nasal tip area. In that regard, I would not recommend nostril narrowing, based on what I see. I hope this helps. Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Hi. Tip and ala is part pf the surgery the amount of corrections depends on the case and patient preference during counseling .It is better for you to consult with a facial plastic surgeon who can examine you and discuss the surgical procedure and the post op recovery
process.

Your nose is not the type that would benefit from an alarplasty alone. Your alar base is already narrow enough.

I would not recommend a nostril reduction but I do recommend that the medial crura needs to be brought together more in the midline to increase the size of your airway. Also, your tip projects too high and the base of the nose is too narrow. You will need refinement of the tip and possibly widening of the base.

You COULD get a mild alar base reduction but I don't think that would be wise to do alone because your nostril aperture is pretty small and this could worsen your breathing. It would NOT give you a pinched appearance bc that alone is not capable of doing that. If you want tip refinement, THEN it is possibble to get a pinched look but only if your surgeon is overly aggressive. Doing that, I would have them also narrow your middle crura at the same time so that will open up your nostrils much more and thus allow you to tolerate more alar base excision. Good luck!
