Question

Background: I have had 2 times hair transplant and just started finestride for the first time. I am a little concerned that having the laser treatment once a week for 6 months will not be effective. The reason why I can only go once a week is due to work, and the distance being 2 hours to get to the clinic. If I won’t get much results from such little usage then ( once a week ) would it be better to cancel the laser therapy and just do the PRP

In my opinion,  Combination treatment using the laser as well as PRP and Finasteride would be the best option. PRP can be done monthly. My suggestion as far as the laser cap is to buy one you can use it home.  You can go once a month for your PRP treatments and continue with the laser cap. It's important to continue treatments after the transplant to retain the native hair and to stimulate the transplanted hair to grow.

We recommend that our patients receiving PRP for hair loss receive 4 treatments within the first 6 months (month 1, 2, 3, and 6) and then continue PRP treatments every 6 months.
