Is there any connection between the doseage of oral minoxidil taken and the "dread shed" for example does a smaller dose cause less shedding or are you just as likely to experience the same amount regardless of doseage?

The likelihood and intensity of the "dread shed" from oral minoxidil are not directly related to the dosage. Shedding occurs as part of the hair growth cycle resetting, which can happen regardless of the dose. Hello I'm Dr. Wipawan Vathananai, a co-worker of Dr. Kulakarn Amonpattana, from BHI Clinic, Bangkok, Thailand. I think the shedding from minoxidil is very different from person to person. It is impossible to know how an individual would respond to one dosage of oral minoxidil. But at the end, the shedding will slow down if you continue taking minoxidil for more than 3 months and you will be able to start seeing improvement by then.
