Numbing cream left on for microneedling & now skin itches with some products, shouldn't it be wiped off?

Hi I have had very sensitive skin since I had micro needling. I was worried at the time as the aesthetician applied a numbing cream but didn’t wipe this off before micro needling. I find my skin now itches with certain products that used to be fine. Shouldn’t the cream be wiped off after it’s had chance to work? Thanks

Hi Marieme77, thank you for your question regarding topical numbing cream and microneedling. The numbing cream should definitely be wiped off and the face should be cleaned with an alcohol prep pad before beginning the microneedling procedure. I hope this helps!
