Yes it is fine to proceed with your lip filler treatment even if there is filler remaining from previous treatments. It is not necessary that the same filler is used either. Make sure you see an expert injector for your treatment.

There is evidence that the use of fillers can lead prolonged tissue changes. This is probably not residual filler that’s still left in place, but most likely represents reactions to having multiple previous fillers, such as development of scar tissue.
These changes should not stop you from having more fillers if you desire, but it is something to be aware of. Attempting to dissolve, fillers years after the fact will not change the outcome.
Working with the most talented providers is probably your best option for minimizing undesirable outcomes and complications.
Patients should be aware that prolonged use of fillers can create long-term changes.
