How long before second hair transplant hairline correction?

We suggest you to wait at least 9 months for second operation. It will be good to wait for your donor healing. You might be need at least 1000 graft even if you lower your hair line 1 cm. Every operation your donor will be harvested from different zones to avoid overharvesting.

I typically recommend waiting 12 months between hair transplant procedures. If more hair will be transplanted in the same area, this allows those grafts to grow and for the existing grafts to be considered when placing new grafts. Even in cases where the grafts will go in a different area, I still prefer to wait 12 months to allow the donor area to completely heal and form scar tissue (even in FUE procedures there are still small scars). This allows me to see how the patient heals from their first procedure prior to performing the second procedure and keep that in consideration when deciding how many grafts and from where to ensure adequate donor coverage from the remaining donor hair. That being said every surgeon is different, and I would ask this of the performing hair restoration surgeon.
