Can I have hair transplant for bald spot I was born with on the temple? (Photos)

I haven’t lost any hair, no signs of balding currently. I would like to do a transplant on that one spot which is shown in the images, just not sure what I should be looking for exactly. How much should I expect to pay for something this small? Would a fue transplant be the most reasonable option? Could this be risky if my hairline slightly recedes later? Will supplements be needed after hair is transferred to keep the hair? I’m an african american male, height is 5’10, weigh 130 pounds, age 22.

That being said though, you’d need to see a dermatologist in -person to be sure. If a dermatologist visit confirms it is Triangular Alopecia, then yes, it can definitely be transplanted.

People can have these bald/thin spots on their scalp where they never had hair. Hair transplants can also be done to cover scars from surgery, accidents, burns, etc. A consultation is required to make sure the hair and scalp are healthy. Assuming they are, the area marked can be transplanted with good results. If you lose hair in the future, this area should continue to look natural, though you may have to transplant the other side to match if your sides recede too much. You may also try medications to prevent hair from thinning.

The hair loss that you have on your temple since birth is most likely a condition called Temporal Triangular Alopecia (which is also known as Congenital Triangular Alopecia). It would be advised to first see a Dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis and rule out any other cause that could appear similar to it (such as Alopecia Areata). If it is truly Temporal Triangular Alopecia, then it can definitely be transplanted into successfully.
