I had a sliding genioplasty, maximum projection 10mm, would like further projection. Can I get a 2nd SG for further projection?

I had a sliding genioplasty and my chin was projected 10mm. I would like further projection and I am opposed to a chin implant due to bone erosion/resorption. Considering I’m quite young it’s just not an option, I’m also opposed to frequent use of filler. If the first genioplasty doesn’t preclude a second one for further projection, I think I will go with that. If not I will look into jaw surgery it is just much more expensive . I also have normal occlusion.

The sliding genioplasty does not affect the teeth. You should be able to wear your retainers following the surgery.

Either a chin implant or sliding genioplasty would achieve a greater facial balance. In severe cases, I usually prefer the sliding genioplasty.

Based on the photos that you provided, I would recommend a chin advancement procedure to improve your lower facial balance. Either a genioplasty or chin implant is advisable.

I don't use a head wrap after genioplasty or chin implant surgery. I use a head wrap following jawline and submental liposuction to minimize swelling and compress the subcutaneous space. Chin ptosis is prevented with good surgical technique.
