I had a botched LP& I’m very unhappy with results. I am planning to be reconstructed using the clitoral hood tissue as flaps if possible. My initial goal during the first LP was a conservative trim, so really I wanted medium sized labia. However, now that I’ve been amputated, I’ve accepted the fact that I will never achieve what I initially wanted. I was wondering if you think I could achieve the ‘goal’ photos attached. Their labia minora are quite small, can I at least get it to that size?
Answer: Botched labiaplasty As the inventor and innovator of the wedge technique in 1994, I reconstruct many women who have had labia reductions by other surgeons, both wedge and trimming techniques. The reconstruction technique depends on the deformity. The reconstruction is more difficult than a primary labiaplasty and should be done by a plastic surgeon with extensive experience in labia reconstruction. I published the first and most extensive paper on labia reconstruction in the prestigious journal "Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery" about ten years ago. You appear to have adequate clitoral hood to reconstruct your labia minora with clitoral hood flaps, which I invented and published in that journal article. In this surgery, I take the remaining tissue of your clitoral hood and transfer it downward to create labia minora. Your result will probably look more like your first goal photo. It will not look like the second goal photo. I have done this surgery about 80 times with excellent results. The surgery takes about 3+ hours so it is not a simple office procedure. If any surgeon reduces more of your clitoral hood, you will be ineligible for this repair. You only get one good chance to reconstruct you, so be patient and ask a lot of questions. Gary J. Answer: Revision labioplasty ( reconstruction labiaplasty ) hello, your labia are very short, it is not possible to reach the target pictures by pulling the tissues around the clitoris in the form of flaps on the labia. but it could look better.

Answer: Revision Labiaplasty You have not been amputated. Whenever a patient has a specific exact goal in mind, she is disappointed. The important thing is reasonable expectations, and working with a surgeon very experienced in anatomy and different techniques (airbrushing; linear; wedge; flaps...) in order that your surgeon can design a procedure that best fits you . You should be able to achieve a version of your "ideal" outcome, but make sure your surgeon is savvy in all techniques, and that, while you hold a mirror when (s)he is examining you and designing" your revision, you and your surgeon reach agreement. I only do revisions, and I know the importance of "reasonable expectations in all genital plastic/cosmetic surgery, especially in the rarified air of revision labiaplasty. Answer: Labiaplasty revision It does appear that you likely had a fairly aggressive labiaplasty, and the answer to your question may depend on you. If you are a smoker and smoke around the time of a procedure, then basically no as the flaps will likely die. It does look like you have enough excess hood to try, but the reduction in protection to your clitoris may result in some desensitization, and the innervation might also be damaged. The middle picture is a more likely outcome than the last picture with the defined leading border of the minora. Find a pro!
