Really happy with my experience with Dr Hunter, we did labiaplasty trim with clitoral hood reduction (which he did not charge extra for) I'm 2 weeks post op and already so happy with the results, can't wait till all the swelling goes down and stitches dissolve. I could tell right away Dr Hunter had a ton of experience and knew what he was talking about, very precise and assured
The surgery itself was almost laughably easy. All the difficulty of the procedure is psychological - coming to terms with the decision itself, the money, how it feels ‘self-indulgent’, how private it is. I sat on this idea for a long time and there’s a bit of internal warfare looking at bad outcomes online and second-guessing yourself. I had a trim alone, the simplest type and it was very straightforward with clear instructions. I had two painkillers the day of the procedure and literally nothing else after that (!) and only a little bleeding the first 24hours. I feel like my healing has gone very well so far. Didn’t use any ice at all, just antibacterial the first 2-3 days then aquafor. Wearing very loose soft shorts without underwear helped immensely. Dr Hunter isn’t particularly gushy or sweet which is totally fine - I needed a competent, efficient and highly experienced surgeon which is what I got. Everything is guided by the nursing staff who are all very patient, sweet and caring. Fully recommend Dr Hunter and his team.
I am One day post op and I experienced no pain yesterday or today. I came Across this site and it’s amazing knowing I’m not alone in the process. I recommend dr Hunter and his staff they are very friendly and very informative about the after care process. Best decision ever
Dr Hunter is the best. I have no regrets. It was the best decision I've ever made. 100% worth it. I only wish I did it sooner. It is a quick procedure and easy recovery. Dr Hunter is always available for questions before and after the procedure. Getting a second opinion is not necessary, he's the Dr you should choose!
This is a procedure I've wanted done since I was 12 years old so I was super stoked, but also extremely nervous. I probably read/watched every labiaplasty patient testimonial online so I understood that it could turn out a number of ways. One thing I noticed is that every horror story I read involved the women going to a gyno or someone who wasn't specialized, so I wanted to make sure I was going to a real expert and that's how I found Dr. Hunter. It's now been 10 days since the surgery, and I look and feel amazing! Right before the surgery, his technician was so so so comforting and really eased my nerves. The surgery itself was super quick and easy and I even peed right after! hahaha. The part I was most scared about was recovery because of pain, but as the tech said, if you get the timing right (that is, taking the pain pills about 45min - 1hr after the surgery) you can skip out on the burning pain that comes afterwards. I only took two of the prescribed meds the first day, flushed them down the toilet, and then I was good with just the extra strength Tylenol (which they give you) because the pain really wasn't that bad! It almost had me question if I had some kind of high pain tolerance lol The first 3-5 days weren't nearly as bad as I imagined. It was uncomfortable and I didn't have the same mobility, but the pain wasn't bad unless I accidentally irritated it, then there was a brief period of burning that eventually subsided-- totally bearable. By day 6/7 I was walking quite normally again, without a waddle and only a few stings here and there, so that was nice! I just returned to some light exercise last night and that went well too. The swelling has already gone down dramatically and I just cannot wait to see the final result! All that said, if you're nervous about this surgery I really recommend going to Dr. Hunter. You don't want just anyone doing this kind of surgery, trust me! Him and his whole staff were very accommodating and comforting throughout and he even included the clitoral hood reduction, which some surgeons charge more for! I still can't believe it's done and I'm so happy I did it :) !
So I finally did it! I had labiaplasty today, at the labiaplasty center of NYC with Dr. John Hunter. The pain on the car ride to our hotel from the office was pretty terrible, my tolerance is high and I shed some tears. I got to the hotel and just relaxed the whole day. Took some pain pills and it defiantly helped me to relax the rest of the evening. My swelling and bleeding is moderate I would say. Will keep you all updated Updated on 8 Dec 2019: Day two pretty much was the same pain for me as day 1, I have a decent amount of swelling is moderate I would say. My bleeding has been amazing barely anything at all. I actually switched from maxi to panty linters already. I would post pictures but my dr recommenced me not to even look there for at least a week. I’ve been having my hubby take daily pics for me though, which I will upload all my pictures for you all to see my progress later date when I’m ready to look. I did take 2 pain pills total on the second day due to the burning and pain. Also We tried to head home as my surgery was a little over 5 hours away and I only made fit an hour and half in the car and stopped and got a hotel. It was to bumpy and uncomfortable for me. I stayed off my feet and relaxed the rest of the evening.
This was a life hanging experience. I had painful sex, UTIs and frequent yeast infections not to mention self conscious of the appearance. After my labiaplasty that has all gone away and i am living my best life. The doctor is incredible and the staff is outstanding. The patient coordinator JoMarie is truly an beautiful human being. She is kind and patient and walks you through the entire experience. Thank you thank you thank you to everyone at this office.
Best surgeon for Labiaplasty in NYC! He is great and his staff is wonderful. The entire process was quick and seamless. You can tell that he knows what he is talking about and that his staff is well versed in this type of procedure. I went on a few consults and I felt the most comfortable with this office. My results are great! I am now getting some laser hair removal with them too!
i had the most wonderful experience with Dr Hunter. He truly is the best at what he does. The staff was kind and attentive and I felt comfortable the moment I sent the first email. my results are better than expected and added bonus...no more UTIs! I cant believe I didn't do this sooner. would recommend him to anyone!
If you’re going to get a labiaplasty, Dr. Hunter is the doctor you want to perform it. During our consultation, I asked him if my labia was normal and he kindly said what I already knew: that labia come in many sizes and some are longer than others. He told me men don’t care about it, it’s the woman who cares and worries about it. Which is so true! None of my exes or my long term boyfriend has ever said anything negative. But no matter how many times I was assured, I was filled with self loathing about my labia. I hated how long it was and bulged in my underwear and leggings. I literally thought about it every day and would cry about it. That’s not normal! Dr. Hunter made me feel so comfortable and listened to me. I didn’t know I would need a clitoral hood reduction but he explained that with the labiaplasty, my clitoral hood would now appear larger. A lot of surgeons tack on an expensive extra fee for that- not Dr. Hunter. If you need one, it is part of the labiaplasty. I thought that was absolutely amazing. The man truly cares about his patients and what he does. The way he talked about my labiaplasty procedure and explained it was wonderful: he never made me feel embarrassed or bad and talked about it with the ease of the expert that he is. I’m only 1 week post op, swollen and bruised. This is the worst it will look, I’m nowhere near my final result, yet I am already in love with my new labia! For years I thought my vagina was ugly and now I am looking at it thinking it’s pretty. Also, this surgery in NYC can run over $10,000. When i met with the wonderful patient coordinater JoMarie to discuss payment she told me it would be $5800. I almost started crying. No it’s not cheap but Dr. Hunter could easily be charging twice as much. He’s the best, I can’t say enough good things about him and everyone in the office. Kaylin is his surgical nurse and she is so sweet. She talked to me on the phone the day before surgery. I was nervous and she made me feel much better. The day of surgery I was happy to have her by my side. All the women who work in the office are lovely and patient and discreet. Thank you Dr. Hunter for giving me a pretty vagina!
