Do I need a lower blepharoplasty? What will help my under eye bags when I smile? (photo)

I had Juvederm under my eyes about 9 years ago. Since then it has puffed up intermittently. I noticed my under eye wrinkles were also worsening, so my practitioner put a tiny amount of Botox under each eye about 5 days ago. I now look like I have double eye bags when I smile. What can help with this?

Thank you for your inquiry! By your photos, it looks like you would be a great candidate for a lower bleph procedure as that procedure will remove excess skin to your lower eyelids. You would want to first dissolve any filler. If your eyelids continue to "puff up," consult an expert to evaluate for underlying medical conditions.

If it doesn’t happen again, get an evaluation after the filler is dissolved to determine the best next step for your cosmetic goals.
