325-350cc - will I feel super aware all the time of implants?

In the beginning stages of healing, you will notice your implants more due to swelling and the immediate change of the size/shape of your breasts. Gradually over time, you will start to notice them less and eventually they will feel like a natural part of your body. Many patients happily accept their breasts as the new normal and forget they even had implants in the first place. However, every person is different in how they perceive changes in the body.

It’s understandable to have concerns about how breast implants might feel and affect your daily activities. The sensation and comfort level with breast implants can vary from person to person, but many individuals find that implants feel natural over time. Here are a few points to consider:

1. Initial Sensation: Right after surgery, you might feel pressure, tightness, or discomfort. It takes time for the implants to settle and for your body to adjust.
2. Touch and Feel: Modern breast implants are designed to feel more natural, especially when placed under the muscle. Choosing implants that are proportional to your body size and opting for a natural look (as you mentioned, 325-350cc) can enhance the natural feel.
3. Physical Activities: Most women can resume regular activities, including sleeping on their stomach, running, and exercising after a period of healing. Your surgeon will provide specific guidelines based on your procedure and recovery progress.

breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small.You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.

Thank you for your question. All patients go through a period where the implants feel foreign, but that goes away in a few months. You should ultimately be able to do everything you do now, including sleeping and running. With regard to looking "natural", that's very subjective. I can tell you that the more projection you get in an implant (high profile or even moderate plus) the less natural it will look. It is very dependent on how much breast tissue you currently have, your age and skin quality, as well as your dimensions. Someone 5' tall in their 20s, never pregnant, with B cup breasts would look very big with 350cc implants. If you have inspirational photos, I would share those with your surgeon. Best of Luck!

At first you will feel the implants but your body will adjust and get used to them. Most of my patient aren't even aware of the implants after several months. You don't want to go too big but the volume you are getting is very average.

My patients tell me they are back on their stomach by 3 weeks. They also tell me that they don't notice the breast implants between 3 to 5 weeks. Typically the first few months after surgery you will be very aware of your implants. Why? At the beginning you will be recovering. You'll be swollen, noticing changes as they settle, visiting your surgeon's office for follow ups, buying new bras, etc. Essentially there will be a lot more attention being paid to the breasts. Then gradually over time as they settle and soften they will feel more 'like you" and you will think about them less often. They generally will feel as natural as the rest of your body.

At first, you will notice the new girls. Over time, your brain will adjust and they will feel "normal" and not alien to you.

All cosmetic surgical procedures will create different body, sensations and breast implants are no different.
Most patients get accustom to the changes and typically begin to accept the changes as the new normal.
Individuals who obsess on changes after surgery may be bothered longer than those who accept inherent changes as being part of having surgery.
Each person will perceive these changes differently.
