Can I still undergo breast augmentation surgery if I was diagnosed with BiRads 3?

Thank you for your pictures and questions. I think that this one is on the fence a little bit. BIRADS 2 means benign, 3 means "probably benign" and the 4 means "suspected cancer" so it is a judgement call by the radiologist. You and your plastic surgeon should discuss things and decide how to proceed. My preference would be "better safe than sorry" and I would recommend you just proceed with a needle biopsy to verify the lesion is benign before proceeding with surgery. Also coming into the decision would be your medical history - if you are in your 20s with no family history, I would be more likely to proceed without additional workup, whereas if you are in your 40s-50s and had a family history of breast disease, I would be much more likely to recommend additional workup.
