Asymmetrical face with masseter overdeveloped on one side. Treatment options?

hi i have an asymmetrical face, my masseter is overdeveloped on one side and i know Botox to slim it would work but the side with the larger masseter looks far better, would this or any other procedure help? thanks

It's not clear from your photos if your facial asymmetry may be coming from your chin. Your right chin appears to be a bit lower than your left, and fillers like Silikon-1000 may be considered for achieving permanent improvement. Asymmetrical masseter hypertrophy would be unusual since both sides contract when you chew. Hope this helps. Dr Joseph

Every single individual on this planet has some form of asymmetry in the face. In the majority of the people, the left side of the face is quite a bit wider than the right with the eye being also a little higher, as well as the left ear being higher. This form of asymmetry cannot be corrected as it is related to the skeletal formation in the womb and is completely normal. You can try using some Botox in slimming down the larger side of the face, but it will still not be fully symmetric and you have to understand that. Don’t let some Doctors talk you into different procedures, claiming that they can correct this form of asymmetry as it will only create more problems in the future. You are correct that you can use Botox to slim the overdeveloped masseter muscle.  If you are wanting to build up the jawline you can consider facial fillers.  You may have the best outcome with a combination of both.  See an expert injector near you for treatment.
