Is this white patch normal after Lip fillers? (photo)

I had a juvederm lip augmentation around 4 hours ago. Is this white patch a normal part of the swelling process or something I should be concerned about?

Thank you for your question.  If you have concerns that you may have a complication, contact your injecting physician immediately.  In contrast to the information provided by another physician, the lidocaine contained within Juvederm does not contain epinephrine (adrenaline) and therefore is not responsible for any blanching.  Best of luck.

This is typically from the lidocaine anesthetic in the lips, if it doesn't go away in the day it may be superficially placed filler that needs reversal or massage.  Best, Dr. Emer.
