Will the swelling causing " monkey mouth" settle after Juvederm in peri oral lines? (photos)

Thank you for your photographs and questions and I am sorry that your early results are causing you concern.  In general patients will experience similar symptoms as you are describing after filler placement but these tend to improve into a more natural appearance and feel over the next two weeks as your swelling resolves.  You may wish to use some cold compresses and maintaining your head elevated while sleeping to minimize swelling.  Hang in there, it looks as if you will have a very nice result!

Hello, and thanks for your question. I'm sorry you did not get the result you had hoped for. Post-filler swelling can take 1-2 weeks to fully subside, so it may be early to assess your final result. If you are not pleased with your final result, the product can be dissolved with injection of an enzyme called hyaluronidase.To maximize the likelihood of a favorable outcome, I recommend that you only get treated by a well-trained and experienced dermatologist or plastic surgeon. This is still early on and would expect things to settle down somewhat. However, I do see that the philtral columns were overdone and don't think this will look quite normal. If it doesn't, this can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. I'm careful in this area to only put a small amount of filler just because of this. Lips are a difficult area to get right and requires the expertise of an experienced injector.

Please give it some additional time.  Although it looks rather lumpy/asymmetrical there will be some continued improvement over the next several days.  If it does not improve to your satisfaction after 2 weeks, hyaluronidase can be used to reduce the unwanted irregularities.

Thank you for your question and photosFrom the photos it appears that you still have swimming which can continue to resolve . The columns from the base of your nose to cupids peak are called phitral columns. It appears that you have product in the upper aspect of the columns. I general highlighting the lower portion on the inner aspect gives are more natural look. You can massage the area with gentle pressure but ultimately this will settle down. If you are unhappy with the aesthetics I would suggest you follow up with the injecting physician to share your concerns.Best of LuckDrG
