Can a car accident affect on implant move/change position or damage pocket? (Photos)

Question

accident been on driver side and I'm was a driver. seat-bell was on left boob, breast enlargement been done 3 weeks before accident. after accident been done x-ray and its shows shade on a left lung. straight after accident left breast looks flattened,changed the shape and visually can see seat-bell mark(dent), implant now moving inside,i have burning pain. please can you tell me , As the accident cause/affect any damages ? implants not broken.on my opinion before they looks same,now different

Hi Tanya, and I  am so sorry about the accident.The implant pockets are vulnerable to trauma in the early posop period.  I am not sure what the X-ray report means, but I assume that it is an indicator of the severity of the accident.On the other hand, I don't have your preop pics, and I don't have benefit of exam.  I do see that both breasts are low, and in time, a breast lift may improve your appearance.  In the mean time, keep in close touch with your surgeon for guidance.All the best.

If you struck your chest while in a car accident, it is possible that you damaged your implants. You are best to be seen in person.

Thank you for your question. significant force can damage the implant or surrounding structures, but is not common. I recommend you to see a PS for evaluation.

I am sorry to hear about the trauma you have experienced.   Yes, significant force can cause problems, such as breast implant displacement, after breast augmentation surgery. At this point, your best recourse is in-person evaluation by your plastic surgeon. Best wishes.
