Breast implant is flat on the side. Will it become round? (Photo)

Question

I had breast implant done a week ago I got 415 cc silicone implants. My right breast looks great while my left looks deformed will it get round in time or does it need to be corrected?

It is very early in the postop recovery period and chances are you will see improvement in the shape and settling of the soft tissues in the upcoming weeks.  There is a flattened appearance at this time and you should discuss your concerns with your surgeon, as he or she can provide you with their recommendations for managing this through the recovery process.

It is too soon to tell. Check with your doctor to see if he wants you to massage the implant.  It may get better over time.

Thank you for your question. While I agree with you, chances are that as you heal and the tissues stretch that this will become more rounded - like the other side. Your Plastic Surgeon may have exercises that you can do, or a massage plan to help round it out a bit. A lot of times with breast surgery, the look of each breast can be slightly different - as can the healing process. Keep close follow-up with your Plastic Surgeon and listen to him or her.
