Which size should I go for - 260cc or 285cc? (Photo)

Question

I am 35, no children, petit frame, 49kg due yo have implants on 29th nov but must be high profile sub muscular. The 260cc are 9.9cm diameter and 285cc are 10.3cm which would create more side boob. Currently 30A. Unsure which to get, have prominent pectoral muscles up top so bigger one it would fit further under the muscle but also sit lower down compared to small. Unsure Which to go for, i enjoy climbing so do not want irritation. No idea what size I will end up?"

The difference between 260 and 285 is really small....a 25cc difference spread over a 10cm base width will barely be noticeable.
I'd suggest working with your plastic surgeon to review your base width, and choose the implant that best fits your frame.

Thank you for your question.  Sizing is based on a few different factors and 25cc's isn't a huge difference in regards to end result.  With that being said I would suggest speaking with your Surgeon and letting them direct you.  Best of luck to you.

Every surgeon has their own method to work with their patients to choose the best implant size.  It is a complicated and stressful decision that is based on measurements of your breasts, surgeon experience, and desired breast size.  I generally like to have patients bring in photographs of their ideal breasts as well as try on breast sizers in the office to help them choose.  Based on your description, you have narrowed your implant choice to 260 cc and 285 cc implants.  You would likely not notice a significant difference between them.  Once you factor in your native breast tissue, there is about a 5% difference in size.

Regardless which volume you select, difference will be minimal and practically invisible. Do not think too much about it, go with larger of the two so you will not blame yourself later. Observe asymmetry of areolas which may be slightly more noticable after augmentation. Good luck.

breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small.You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.

The difference between the two implants that you are considering is minimal.  At this point your surgeon is your personal expert.  She/He has had the benefit of examining you and discussing your surgical goals.  I would refer to their expert opinion to help you achieve the look you are wanting.

Hi and thank you for your question. Even in patients with a very petite frame, a 25cc difference is unlikely to make a noticeable difference. You are right in looking at the base width diameter as this is often even more important than the 'cc' that you choose. I would recommend matching the base width of the implant to the base width of your breasts. The higher the profile the more cc's for that base width. Hope this helps, and best of luck!

From your history, I surmise that your breast diameter is greater than 9.9 but less than 10.3 cm (a difference of only 4 mm). 5 mm of additional "lateral boob" is almost imperceptible. You wish to choose between 260 and 285 cc implants (a difference of 25 cc, which is 1/2 of a shot glass). It appears that you are looking at relatively high profile implants.The differences between the two implants are quite small. Cup size is an extremely inaccurate measurement of breast size as there is no standardization in the bra manufacturing industry. One company's "B" is another's "C". In addition, many individuals wear ill fitting bras.The following represents an EXTREMELY rough size estimate...A study of "average" bra sizes revealed:A cup&hellip;235 g (or cc.)B cup&hellip;450 g (or cc.)C cup&hellip;530 g (or cc.)D cup&hellip;760 g (or cc.)
235 cc (your size average A cup) + 285 cc (implant size) 520 cc A ~ C cup
Determine your desired size with the help of your surgeon. One can utilize computer imaging (if available), by "trying on" various implant sizers, or by adding rice from a measuring cup into a plastic baggie and placing it in your bra.
