Stiffness under nipple - is this normal? 11 months post-op

I have subglandular silicone implants. I had them placed a year after a lift because the lift didn’t give me the upper pole fullness I wanted. I noticed a few weeks ago that my implants feel stiff under my nipples/areola area and the upper pole area. Everywhere else feels soft and squishy. Is this normal? I have had my implants for 11 months.

For any new changes it is always best to visit with your surgeon for an exam.  There are many reasons for what you are experiencing, most of which are completely normal.  Your surgeon will let you know what may be the cause after an assessment.

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

This area usually contains breast glandular tissue. That tissue is a stiff tissue on its own nature. However i suggest you to have an imaging for breast especially if you noticed it recently

The tissue is probably thinner in that area and you are probably feeling more of the actual implant. However, let your surgeon check you to be certain.
