Could I use PRP to plump up the nose after failed rhinoplasty?

Question

I had a bad primary rhinoplasty 5 months ago. Please don't mention swelling as my nose is already waaaaaay too narrow and pinched. I've been meeting with some revision specialists. It has been suggested to me that I try filler. I am not willing to take the risks associated with filler in the nose. My question is: Could Platelet Rich Plasma plump up the nose and thicken the skin the way it does other areas of the face? Would there be any risks associated with injecting prp in nose? Thanks!

PRP can temporarily plump the nose based on injection technique, however, it does not have the volume consistency nor structure of a filler product and it will not hold in place. PRP will dissipate between 1 week to 1 month post-injection and it is only used best for stimulating collagen production in the face. I strongly suggest using a hyaluronic acid-based filler that can always be reversed if you do not like the filler injectable outcome. My personal favorite is Restylane Lyft because it offers structure with nonsurgical nose reshaping. I also highly advise that you seek injections from an experienced Facial Plastics surgeon who has thorough understanding of your nose anatomy.Best, Dr. Anil Shah

PRP will not help indentations after rhinoplasty either you need a revision procedure or fillers to help camoflage. Best, Dr. Emer.
