I recommend to my patients that they wait at least 3 months after getting breast implants before they have a mammogram. I advise them that while mammograms can place up to 50 pounds of pressure, the implants can handle hundreds of pounds of pressure. Also, the technicians know how to displace the implant and two extra views are taken. Hope this information helps you.
