So happy to answer this question. Everything in life has risks, even MiraDry. I suspect your symptoms are caused by the connective tissue in your body which creates the feeling of tightness and lumpiness. This is usually temporary and resolves over time. With MiraDry, the device is designed to allow the energy to go as far as the layer where the glands live and does work on water bearing structures. Follow up with your treating doctor and discuss this issue. Perhaps an injection of PRP might help!
You may experience someswelling, minor bruising and tenderness of the underarms, which should subsidewithin a couple of weeks. We recommend avoiding strenuous activity requiringyour arms until your symptoms have resolved. This can take 4-8 weeks to resolve but see your doctor for follow up
Your problems are not common but can be assessed during an examination. We have found the Miradry to be extremely safe and effective. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
Having lumps and red marks two months after MiraDry is not typical. I would recommend that you follow-up with your physician just to be on the safe side.

MiraDry is a device that uses microwave technology to selectively destroy sweat glands in the underarm area. For anyone with life-disrupting excessive sweating, this effective permanent treatment is a godsend. Unlike Botox, it is permanent, and does not require repeated multiple injections every few months to maintain. It does require diluted local anesthesia at the time of treatment because the procedure generates heat during treatment. Lumps, swelling, tingling, and discomfort are pretty normal in the few weeks after the procedure, but cases of ongoing permanent problems are rare to nonexistent. Sometimes the treatment works in one session, sometimes a second treatment is required. Be sure that only your physician performs this treatment, to select the proper settings for safe but effective treatment. Lumps and red marks two months after treatment should gradually improve, but if you are still concerned, see your dermatologist for evaluation.
MiraDry permanently reduces underarm sweat, odor and hair. A needle is required to numb the underarm area so that the patient is comfortable during the procedure. A skilled injector can usually help this process go smoothly, even for those afraid of needles. Before undergoing treatment, co...
