I'm 33 and have never had work done on my face. I desire a more heart shaped face with a shorter mid face. Could fillers achieve this or do I need a nose job and fillers? Please let me know what I can do to achieve a fuller, more balanced face.
Answer: Facial fillers Its a great way to add volume to the face and also adjust the asymmetry if there is any. Its easy to create to add fillers at certain areas to enhance the look and give you the kind of face you want and excellent choice before going too aggressive with surgical options. Have a consultation to get the real idea and see their pre and post pictures.

Answer: Can fillers help shape my long narrow face?? Ask Dr Ellen I think that's a great starting point before considering surgical options. When skillfully placed, fillers will contour the mid and lateral face to give you more mid face width and shape. This will subtlely shift your facial proportion to more of the heart shape that you are seeking.A consult for facial analysis of soft tissue depth, skin quality and bone structure is a perfect starting point!Good luck!In good health,Ellen Mahony, MD

Answer: Face contouring Dear ABeard0902,dermal fillers are a great option for face contouring just make sure that your injector is experienced. It is hard to tell without an examination whether you are a good candidate for dermal fillers. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery

Answer: How to achieve a heart shape face Dear ABeard0902, Thank you for your question. A heart shaped face is a common request here in Asia. The key is having a beautiful chin, slim jawline and apple cheeks. Based on your picture, you have a beautiful chin and fairly defined jawline, so I would focus more on adding fillers to your midface, both laterally and anteriorly to achieve your desired facial shape. Your options for your midface include hyaluronic acid filler, collagen stimulators and fat grafting. Hyaluronic acid fillers have the strongest evidence for safety and efficacy, with several level 1 evidence studies conducted. Of which, Voluma is FDA approved for the midface, with longevity of 18 months on average. Collagen stimulators, for example radiesse, sculptra take time to achieve peak results and possess mainly level 2 evidence to support its use. Fat grating is a surgical measure, but is operator dependent. For a safe, effective and straightforward treatment, I would suggest hyaluronic acid fillers. I hope this helps.

Answer: Improving the facial contour I think facial fillers is a great way to start. If you like the results after facial fillers and desire something longer lasting, you may consider fat grafting to your face in the future. These are all tools to reshape your facial aesthetics by adding volume in certain areas.
