7 weeks post-op Tummy tuck & still draining 75cc a day. Dr. injected iodine into drainage area, but draining continues. Advice?

I had a tummy tuck and lipo suction 7 weeks ago, they took out my first drain 3 weeks after surgery but I still have 1 drain in. I am still draining about 75 cc a 24 hr. period. The doctor put in iodine and the draining subsided for the first 2 days, but now I'm back to 75 cc a day. I am freaking out!What am I doing wrong? What can I do to help draining stop?

There are no realistic comparable alternatives to a tummy tuck in a patient with significant laxity which you do not appear to have. A modified or mini tummy tuck with liposuction of selective areas will produce a more permanent and better result than any non-surgical tightening...

If you have experienced this type of hairloss before, then i advise you to start Rogaine 2% from 2 months before and the first 4 months after to avoid hairloss as much as possible. Also add biotin vitamins supplements before and try to maintain a healthy diet.Best of luck

Hello and thanks for using RealSelf.  I am in total agreement with Dr Pousti in that you will continue to see improvements in contour for up to a year.  Discussing revision surgery at 8 weeks is pointless.  Changes will still occur but slowly over the next 6 to 10 months....
