Kybella chin Is worse then when I initially started. First vial went well. I had my second round of Kybella of one vial and it made my double chin larger than what I had went in with. I’ve been desperate and been given exilis treatments, which have done nothing, 2 to be exact. Saw no improvement, then they recommended coolsculpting and it’s on the third week and I feel like my chin just will not improve . My Kybella is at a 5 month mark and still big loose hanging skin. I’m waiting to see if coolsculpting works. Any ideas what went wrong? What can I do to improve?
Answer: Facial Slimming — Masseter Botox, Facetite/Renuvion J Plasma, Buccal Fat Pad Removal, Fillers to sculpt the Cheek/Jawline/Chin kybella can cause scar tissue and loose skin, this needs facetite lipo to improve this and I would start morpheus and/or threads to get enhanced results.
most of my younger clients use fillers to give them shaping especially on the cheeks, jawline, and chin which make the face look more slim and tight; and threads such as PDO or Instalift can build collagen and support the facial shaping and skin looseness over time, slowing down the aging process and given the face a more “snatched” look; and morpheus or pixel8 deep microneedling RF can tighten crepe skin especially on the neck and jawline and is great for long term tightening of the full face, neck and chest; its often used to give the face a slimmer more sculpted look because it tightens the skin and gives lift. an early face lift /neck lift with or without buccal fat pad reduction can be performed as well even in younger clients if they want a different facial shape, maxillofacial surgery with bone breaking or shaving can also be done.
For facial slimming a combination of treatments are always needed. Options include: 1. Buccal fat pad removal to reduce fat on the lower face 2. Factite or Renuvion/J Plasma to tighten the lower face, jawline, and chin to reduce fat and give the jawline and neck tightening and shaping. 3. Botox to the masseter to reduce the muscular size of the jaw giving the face an illusion of being more slender 4. Fillers to the jawline, chin, cheeks, temples and brow help to shape the face and make it more angled and defined 5. early face/neck lift with platysmaplasty or maxillofacial surgery (bone shaving or implants)
6. botox/dysport/xeomin on the neck for platysmala bands and neck tightening
Always use at home EMERAGSKIN dermarolling (see link to Emerageskin x anteageMD roller plus stem cells/hyaluronic acid ampules) and peels like emeragecosmetics enlighten , cosmelan or aerify that can be used to improve skin quality and tighten the skin while improving wrinkles, pigmentation, acne, and Melasma.

Answer: Kybella Dear LenaMarie795, Kybella typically takes 3 to 5 treatments to work. This is why I've stopped carrying Kybella in my office. I recommend neck liposuction more often then any injectable procedure for the neck now. It provides superior results gives me more control over the area than any injectable. It also costs about the same as what you paid for your first kybella session. The liposuction can be done under local while awake in the office and recovery is about the same as kybella. Answer: Any ideas what went wrong with Kybella and what can I do to improve? (Photos) Seems you are one of the too many having rebound fat growth from the KyBella injections. Only surgical liposuction under local anesthesia c or c/o IV sedation can effect the outcome to a desired result.

Answer: Problems with Kybella I don’t offer or use Kybella in my practice. When the product came out I took the training course offered by Alargan and that was enough to convince me to never use the product. Liposuction is such a superior technique for getting rid of fat but there is no justification for using chemical fat destruction. In order to make an assessment we need proper standard pictures from before your treatment after the first treatment and after the second treatment. If you don’t have those then ask your provider to forward them the ones they took if they took pictures. If you have a skin problem then you need to skin solution. In your case that could be a procedure like a cervicoplasty. Consider having a few in person consultations for the local board-certified plastic surgeons. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
