Can I do a neck lift prior to double jaw surgery? (Photos)

Question

I am 29 years old male and have lost weight and this causes me to have loose skin on my neck area. I would like to do neck tuck and lift surgery to tighten it. But I will also need to do double jaw surgery to correct my breathing issues. I plan to do neck lift with local plastic surgeon, As for the double jaw advancement surgery, I have to travel abroad to meet a talented maxillofacial surgeon. Since I cannot travel overseas now due to the pandemic, is it ok if I proceed with neck lift first?

Double jaw surgery will change the appearance of the neck and should be carried out first. Your targets for neck reshaping will be influenced by the results of your jaw surgery and if you do the neck lift first he would not be synchronised with the characteristics of the bone support.
Even though you feel there is skin laxity, it is probably minimal or non-existent. A neck lift with skin removal is more likely to leave you with unsightly scars at this stage.
There is an option to contour the neck and the jawline without skin removal which may represent a good solution for you. It is referred to as anterior neck lift or short scar neck lift. It only involves a scar under the chin which is without tension. Whichever procedure you choose to have for the neck, you have an advantage in having the bone surgery first.

You would be gar better served to get the orthognathic surgery first and any neck procedures later. With the large amount of face and neck swelling that will occur from the jaw surgery any prior neck reshaping efforts will be adversely affected.
