I am having a hard time deciding between 2 sizes that my surgeon suggested at my consult. Goal is to get a round shape/add volume. Aiming for a natural look, but also want to go big enough that it would be worth it. Choices are: 13 cm, 375 CC mod profile OR 13cm, 485 CC high profile Currently 145 lbs @ 6 mo postpartum (Usually 130lbs). Breast width is 13 cm. Is 485 too big? Is anyone able to suggest what the resulting cup size would be for either option? Thx!
Answer: Size Selection Good morning, The best way to determine the appropriate size to reach your goals is to take several tops to your PS office and try on the implant sizers, and also to bring some wish pics with you to discuss with your surgeon. Any surgeon doing breast augmentation should employ these two key components in the implant selection process. In general, the rule is go with the larger of the two sizes if you are debating, and the 485cc will likely make you a D in most manufacturers sizes.

Answer: Selecting an implant Implant selection is a complex process and is best done in person. The larger, higher profile implant will give you a larger, more projected look. Both implants will increase you multiple cup sizes. I encourage you to return to your surgeon for further discussion of these options. Many surgeons have sample implants available you can "try on" to get an idea of how you may look after surgery.

Answer: Mini lift with fat transfers or small implants Implants alone will not solve your problem. Your breasts are too low and lateral on the chest wall. The technique I recommend is a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. At the same time, fat transfers or small implants can be placed totally submuscular. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Breast surgery To my eye you need a lift as well as an implant. I don't know if either surgeon mentioned this. Look up "lollipop lift" to get an idea of what is done. And go with the 375 cc's

Answer: Choosing the right size and profile breast implants for you After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants and they choose what looks right for them. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size and style breast implant is right for them. Unless your friend measured you, how could she suggest what is right for you.
