I am wondering if a genioplasty surgery would be appropriate to correct my issue? I am starting to notice some "joweling" on the right side due to my jaw being smaller. I am wanting to achieve more facial symmetry. Is it possible to just improve my chin without more braces? Would there be a more appropriate treatment to improve my appearance? I have a strong yet slightly recessed chin, with an asymmetry to the right side due to condyle hyposplasia on the right. Thank you

Thank you for your pictures. Yes, the projection and width can be changed with a sliding genioplasty. This is slightly challenging. I agree with Dr. Jamali that I do not believe that your chin needs to be widened.
Thank you for your X-ray. I agree with Dr. Apply concerning your hyoid position in the X-ray. There is not a surgical procedure to reposition the hyoid bone. Your best best would be standard techniques that we have to improve chin and neck contour. Best wishes.
Thank you for your pictures. In my opinion, a sliding genioplasty to correct your chin asymmetry would be reasonable. You need to make sure that your jaw does not have this same asymmetry. I would visit with a board certified oral surgeon or board certified plastic surgeon. Best wishes.
