Is it possible to have a FUE Hair transplant to lower hairline and filling in bald spots from scarring alopecia which i had over 16 years, with no hair loss or growth on the bald spots, i had no new bald spots for 16 years. I have coarse curly hair and i have East African Hair.

It is possible to lower the hair line with a hair transplant procedure.  If you have scarring alopecia you need to discuss this with your doctor.

Great question!It really depends on 1. the cause of your bald spots. 2. your age3. your family history I'd advise you meet with a hair restoration specialist. There are a lot of things to consider!

I would like to know why you have these bald spots. If it is caused by a disease called alopecia areata, then transplant will not grow in these spots. A biopsy would be a good idea to make the diagnosis if you have not had one yet. Once the cause of these bald spots is determined and you don't have alopecia areata, then what you want, a hairline lowering and a fill in of these spots with hair, can be done.

In your case you need to be xamined by a hair restoration specialist or dermatologist to find the cause for the bald spots and make sure you are a good candidate for hair transplant.
