In general most Caucasian men have 6000 to 8000 grafts available in their donor area. There are always exceptions to the rule.
Thank you for your question, r3000. The amount of donor grafts depends on each man. Keep in mind that you will experience shedding in the recipient area before you experience regrowth. Please consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon.Best wishes,
The number of grafts available in the donor area varies from person to person. To find out an estimate for donor hair availability, you need to be evaluated by a hair restoration specialist. During your consult, your doctor should be able to give an estimate of the number of grafts available for the procedure.
The average Caucasian has about 6000 grafts for an FUE but that varies depending upon the donor density of the person. Asians have 20% less available grafts because they have 20% lower donor densities.
If you want to fill in the widows peak using FUE method that should be fine. See a doctor for a consultation. Long hair FUE is also a possibility.
While it may be a 'replacement' it is not going to give you the same results that widely accepted and approved medications will give. It may be worth asking your doctor about what reasoning they had for encouraging you to take these tablets instead of Finasteride and Minoxidil.
Generally supplements are safe to use, particularly after the one month mark. As long as you're staying away from steroids (you should go over the supplements w/ your doctor to be safe) I don't see it being an issue for your transplants.
