Can a vapor cigarette without nicotine be used before and after surgery?

I use vapor cigarettes but with 0mg of nicotine. I am smoke free for 3 years. I guess it's an oral fixation. Can i use the vapor (without nicotine) before and after a breast lift and aug? I'm a little nervous and miss my vapor. Thank you!

Can you really be sure there is no nicotine whatsoever in the e-cig vapor? Do you trust the (non-FDA) labelling on the liquid? Is there any residual nicotine in your e-cig that might be feeding more than the oral fixation part of this addiction?If you can answer all of these properly, AND if you use your e-cigs away from other smokers (second-hand smoke is just as bad as smoking yourself), then perhaps you should ask why you need vapor. Consider sugarless gum or suckers to tame the "oral fixation" and give your surgery the best chances possible. Technically, no-nicotine vapor SHOULD be harmless. But how about the other factors I mentioned earlier?Dead skin is neither a "minor problem" nor an easy fix when it occurs, especially if it is more than just a tiny area.I can't in good faith give you "permission" to do something that might be harmful, even though you should be asking your own surgeon. Or has s/he already told you "No!"? See if your surgeon agrees, and follow his/her advice, as it is s/he to whom you will go to deal with the dead skin or areolas. Best wishes! Dr. Tholen

The short answer is, No. You are going to invest a lot of money, time and energy into your new breasts so it is very important that you do everything you can to achieve a good result. Nicotine is a potent and long lasting blood vessel constrictor which effects wound healing. I recommend stopping all nicotine and smoking for 3 months, sometimes time doesn't allow and 3 weeks is the minimum. You can do it, you are worth it!

You can't do certain operations with nicotine on board, including breast lift.  As far as vape-ing...I'm not sure anybody is real sure what's in that stuff.  I would tell you to be safe and just avoid it.
