What are the effects of having lip fillers when you have an immune disease like Raynaud's? (Photos)

I had 1ml of Juvéderm ultra smile injected into my lips 12 months ago. I still feel the filler and that’s concerning me. When I had the fillers I wasn’t asked if I had raynauds and after some recent research about why I can still feel my fillers after 12 months I came across a site that said you shouldn’t get fillers if you have autoimmune diseases such as Raynauds. Can anyone advice me on my situation

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs.  Juvederm should dissolve in the lips of a Raynaud's patient at approximately the same rate as a patient without an autoimmune issue.  Some patients have a naturally longer duration of results than others but if you would rather return to your previous lip appearance, have your injector dissolve with product with hyaluronidase.  Hope this helps.

Thanks for posting your question. Fillers are a great way to improve the contour of the nose without surgery and downtime. Juvederm Ultra would be a fine option, but unfortunately, as with all HA fillers, it will not be a permanent solution. Best of luck
