I wanted to fill the where I had surgery due to previous dental surgery and there was a visible dent left. It did not fix it, should I go back . When I jumped with pain and said you hit the bone, the response was it does hit bone.

Yes for mid face augmentation filler is often placed periosteum or just above the bone. I liken it to a "tack" to hold up the face.

Hello and thank you for your question .  Yes, if it is a thicker molecule dermal filler, it is to be injected deep and hits the bone and the injector knows its deep enough.

Short answer is yes, depending on the filler and what you are trying to correct. ‘Cheek fillers’ (I.e. juvederm Voluma) are frequently placed onto bone.
