Seems I had more of a lift than reduction as just over 100g removed from each breast. Still far too big and wide. Is my wish pic achievable with a revision and would I need to go through the entire process again to get to this size? Or can more tissue/skin be excised and breast reshaped in office? I’m 54, post menopause and breasts not dense. I am 2 months post op but they are not going to reduce to the size I want. I realise I need to wait 6 months or more but just considering my options.
Answer: Revision I would consider Liposuction to remove additional breast tissue/fat and decrease in size. I also recommend an in-office examination as well as a detailed discussion with a surgeon who you are comfortable with. Finally, make sure your surgeon is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). Answer: The Bellesoma Breast Lift Your results typical of the anchor incision. Your breasts are still low on the chest wall. However, you should wait 6 months before undergoing any revision. The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. The weight of the breast is transferred to the underlying pectoralis major muscle resulting in pain relief and long term stability. Vertical scars are avoided and nipple sensation are maintained, if not injured during your previous surgery. Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Possible liposuction Many thanks for the query. At 2-3 months after a breast reduction there is still much healing time needed. Your post op picture shows a very reasonable result, and not far off your ideal. Let all the swelling settle for at least 9-12months and then see how you feel. If unhappy it is best to go back to your original surgeon for a discussion on what further can be done as well as the risks this revisional surgery may have. It may well have settled sufficiently, but if not, a little liposuction is all that is needed. Hope you found this helpful Best Mark

Answer: Is my wish pic achievable with revisional breast reduction? I do think that it will be sensible to wait for 6 months, then the swelling will be down and you should have a frank discussion with your surgeon about what you wants to achieve. There is no reason why you could not have a further reduction but you needs to be aware of added risks and complications.

Answer: Revision breast surgery Firstly you need to wait at least six months for all swelling to resolve. Discuss your concerns with your PS. Usually the breast is the best at telling us how much should be taken, a larger breast will have more removed than a smaller breast, to give a good aesthetic outcome. If more tissue is taken than your breasts are telling your PS, it will be done at the expense of shape - your “wish pic” is to be smaller and to also keep a nice shape - this may not be possible.
