I have been injecting Restylane Skin Boosters for several years already in my Israel satellite facility, where this product was approved back years ago (It is still not FDA-approved in the States). It is a especially useful for treating fine crinkles, crepeyness, or those parituclarly aesthetically displeasing, age-related, cross-hatched type skin seen occasionally seen in the lower cheeks to the sides of he mouth. It has also been used successfully for improving mild laxity in upper arms, upper thighs, and for the childbirth-related crinkly laxity around the belly button area to smooth the skin by improving skin hydration and turgor. Other products in this same category include Hydromax and Volite (both also not available yet in the U.S., where Restylane Silk can serve this purpose for the time being). Skin Boosters may be injecting in a fanning fashion, a cross-hatched fashion, or a microdroplet grid-like pattern depending upon the area treated and/or experience of the injection. Very commonly, two or more treatment sessions, spaced at a minimum of six week intervals are needed to achieve maximal improvement. Since, in order to achieve optimal improvement, Skin Boosters must typically be injected very superficially within the skin, in certain areas, there can be bumpiness or lumpiness, such as described in the question. Fortunately, this ordinarily resolves spontaneously within a week or two. However, it is always a good idea to contact your injector directly for any concerns you may have. Best of luck to you.
