Hello, and thank you for your question. It's unlikely that the nostril asymmetry is attributed to nose picking-- it is more likely to just be genetics and your facial features! That being said, I can see the problem you are addressing. Rhinoplasty requires exceptional skill on behalf of the surgeon and great communication with the patient about realistic goals and expectations.Common cosmetic concerns include a dorsal hump, wide nose, sunken nose, irregularities, and asymmetries. Functional concerns include difficulty breathing through the nose, which can and should be addressed at the same time as your rhinoplasty. You might benefit from tip defining procedures using either cartilage grafting or suturing techniques that would harmonize your nose and create a more natural, elegant look. Additionally, you could explore an alar base reduction, which could reshape your nostrils and allow you to achieve your desired look.Make sure to seek out the care of a board certified surgeon with extensive experience in rhinoplasty. Find someone you connect with, who will listen to your concerns and provide you with a framework for what is possible. Gary Linkov, MDRhinoplasty SpecialistManhattan
Hi there, thanks for your question and photos. It appears you have a hanging columella. This is unlikely to be caused by a history of nose picking. It is more likely a matter of genetics and ageing changes. Fixing the hanging columella will decrease the size of the nostrils. This can indeed be addressed with a rhinoplasty. Book a consultation with a rhinoplasty surgeon or a facial plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns. Best of luck.GB

A rhinoplasty can address this issue. One may include Weir excisions at the nostril bases to reduce nostril size.Visit a board certified plastic surgeon for evaluation and advice.Best wishes...

Electrical current used by the cautery devises used during surgery can travel to any metal items attached to the body during surgery hence it being advisable to remove any metal piercings/other. I would advice removing removing hair extensions if they are attached using metal rings as this...
