Received revision cheek implants this morning. I got a sudden painful/firm swelling only on my left side.

I had very small malar cheek implants replaced w larger ones this morning. I was fine until the evening when the left side suddenly became extremely swollen. I know it very normal for this early on. But it feels very painful and I don't remember pain like this when I got the small ones. Also, it's very firm and putting uncomfortable pressure on my teeth. Is this normal swelling or signs of an infection/hematoma.

Thanks for your question. For this type of facial asymmetry two dermal fillers are the best. I wound consider Restylane Lyft and/or Sculptra. You can also consider surgery with fat injections, but I believe you will still need fillers in the future because you will continue to age.Best wishes,...

Hello micellexviCheek implants are available in a range of different shapes and sizes, they are mostly customized to fit a specific facial structure. Fillers such as Juvederm Voluma, Radiesse and RestylaneLyft are great alternatives to cheek implants, also fat transfer or injection can be done.

I find that VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF are best for contouring the chin in those who are candidates but Kybella can be used as an alternative and needs to be combined with thermage/ultherapy/exilis or coolsculpting for good results. A chin implant can give more definition. So...

Based on your photos it appears that cheek augmentation with implants, possibly addition of fat grafts is your best option. Silicone implants are used most frequently for this purpose. You should consult an experienced board certified plastic surgeon with good reputation in facial implants to...
