Why does my nipple look worse today than 3 days ago how is this going to heal on its own and how long will it take
Answer: Necrosis I realize this is very traumatic for you and am sorry you are going through this. Based on you photos it appears you either have necrosis, wound separation or a combination of the two. This will take weeks to heal. You should discuss your concerns with your operating surgeon. Good wound care and antibiotics will help. If you smoke I would recommend you stop as it will delay healing. Best of luck

Answer: Necrosis This is fortunately a rare complication associated with breast lifting. Rest sure that over a period of time this will heal and you will be surprised at how good things can look. A subsequent scar revision can get an outcome that will likely be quite satisfactory.I rarely see this problem except in people who smoke cigarettes. Sometimes an overly large implant may contribute to the problem. If you smoke cigarettes, stop immediately. good luck

Answer: Nipple Infection This is a rare complication from surgery of the breasts, but must be taken very seriously and dealt with swiftly. If you are not comfortable with the treatment options being advised to you , l would suggest you visit another surgeon for another opinion. It is possible that your nipple will get worse before it gets better if not treated properly. Good luck and l hope you recover quickly.

Answer: Wound separation The tissue around the nipple looks healthy. No redness, clean healing tissue in open areas. If the tissue is soft beneath the nipple,A debridement and loose closure can speed up healing time. Make sure your surgeon can handle the problem, if not obtain a second opinion.

Answer: Nipple Necrosis Based on the appearance of your wounds after breast augmentation and breast lift, it looks like it will take at least several weeks to heal. Hopefully, your plastic surgeon has placed you on a regimen of wound care to prevent infection of the surface wounds as well as infection of the implant. The wounds most likely appear worse due to wound separation as your sutures loosen due to the necrosis. Sorry about your complication. Hope you get better soon.
