If you have not had a consultation with a reconstructive plastic surgeon to discuss this, that should be your first step. So, in answer to your question about your surgery being more expensive because of your diagnosis, the answer is no, it should be more reasonable as it should be covered by insurance.As for the question regarding complexity, Poland's syndrome reconstructions can add complexity to a reconstruction that is not present with something like a straightforward augmentation. Depending on the severity of your disease, you may require not only an implant or tissue expander for reconstruction, but may also require a muscle flap to complete your reconstruction (lat dorsi flap).Find a qualified plastic surgeon (I know several in Philadelphia if you want recommendations) to have a consultation with.
