Question

I hate my face shape so much. I feel like my cheeks are too fat and my jawline is nearly invisible. There’s practically no definition at all and it makes me feel ugly. I’ve gone through years of therapy and a plethora of different medications to try and boost my self-esteem but none of it has worked. I never wanted to resort to surgery but after doing a ton of research it seems that may be my only option. If anyone could suggest relatively affordable procedures I’d greatly appreciate it.

Facial aesthetics are primarily determined by facial bone structure.
Soft tissue coverage tends to be fairly consistent from person to person.
At least in comparison to skeletal structure.
What differentiates those who are more attractive or less attractive is usually based on bone structure.
This is what gives each individual person, their unique recognizable facial characteristic.
 This is especially true for young people when the signs of facial aging have not yet begin to contribute.
Some people have facial skeletal structure that is predisposed to having certain aesthetic issues developed later in life, such as double chin, loss of jawline and deformation of jowls and nasolabial folds. People who are predisposed to these conditions tend to have a mandible that is smaller in relationship to their maxilla.
When the mandible is small, the soft tissues, don’t have a strong foundation to support them.
Creating a large mandible isn’t easy or straightforward.
For this reason plastic surgeons will often turn to soft tissue solutions to treat problems that are primarily based on facial skeletal structure.
This will inherently give limited outcomes.
issues related to the lower 1/3 of the face in young people is complex and often simplistic solutions can potentially lead to disappointing outcomes.
For this reason, expect different providers to offer different solutions.
Even though you don’t have an abnormal fat distribution, Liposuction is probably going to be offered as one of them more popular ways of addressing your concerns.
Chin and neck, Liposuction can give good results, but the number of plastic surgeons have truly mastered this procedure Israel relatively small.
There is more variation in skill and experience among plastic surgeons than people seem to appreciate it.

On top of this, there is significant variation in skill and experience among providers.

Next schedule in person consultations with each of those providers.
If you want an assessment based on facial skeletal structure, then consider consulting with oral surgeons or plastic surgeons. Who’ve done a cranial facial fellowship as well.
Extending the mandible is fairly complex and not something everybody wants to undertake.
We also need to look at the mandible in relationship to the maxilla.
If the maxilla is large, then the mandible may seem small by comparison.
Perhaps, as sliding genioplasty or chin, implant with liposuction of your neck, could give a fairly nice improvement without being too involved.
During each consultation, bring pictures of your own face.
Take a look at how plastic surgeons take before and after pictures to get an idea of how pictures should be taken.
I suggest you print these pictures and don’t rely on needing to look at your phone.
 Use those pictures as reference whenever having in person consultations.
I suggest patients avoid virtual consultations whenever possible and instead meet in person with the provider is going to do the procedure.
During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you the entire collection of before and after pictures of previous patients who had similar facial characteristics for whatever procedure they are recommending.
 Being shown a handful of pre-selected images, representing only the best results of a providers career may be insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like in the hands of each provider, what your results are likely to look like, or how many of these procedures they have actually done.
